Dennis Barnes is the owner and operating captain of Outdoor Adventures BC, a Kelowna-based fishing charter company. Born and raised on Vancouver Island, BC, he runs every charter personally aboard his 26-foot Kingfisher 2525 Weekender, fishing Okanagan Lake and the surrounding Interior BC lakes year-round. When you book with Outdoor Adventures BC, the person who answers the phone is the same person who rigs your rod, backs the trailer down the ramp, and reads the fish-finder on your trip — owner-captain, not a contractor, not a different guy each day.
Dennis fishes Okanagan Lake year-round — kokanee from late spring through summer, trophy rainbow trout through the shoulder seasons, and the occasional dawn run up to Shuswap when the chinook are on. He knows which point holds fish this week because he was there last week.
The goal on every charter is simple: show you a version of the Okanagan you can't see from shore, and put you on fish. Newcomer, experienced angler, family of five — Dennis tunes the day to you.
