Kalamalka Lake Charters & Cruises

Crystal-clear turquoise water north of Kelowna near Vernon — the "Lake of Many Colours." Year-round trophy rainbow trout in clarity-rich water, plus private sightseeing cruises with Outdoor Adventures BC.

The Lake of Many Colours

Cruising the turquoise lake

Kalamalka Lake is famous for its surreal turquoise colour — the result of calcium carbonate (marl) crystals reflecting sunlight off the lake floor. It's quieter than Okanagan Lake, less developed along the shoreline, and one of the most photogenic stretches of water in the Okanagan.

What you'll see

  • Marl bays — shallow turquoise shelves visible from the boat
  • Kalamalka Provincial Park — protected shoreline cliffs and forest
  • Quiet coves — light traffic compared to Okanagan, especially weekday mornings
  • Cosens Bay — a classic stop for swimming and photos

Booking a Kal trip
